Website design and development to launch Real Food Rebellion from scratch, delivering a fully integrated platform for schools within just three weeks.
Real Food Rebellion is an education programme designed to help secondary school (KS3) students better understand nutrition, food systems and the impact of their food choices.
Developed by the Public Health Collaboration, alongside input from secondary school leaders, NHS doctors, dietitians and nutrition scientists, the programme provides an evidence-based approach to food education in schools.
The offering centres around a ready-to-teach six-lesson pack aligned with PSHE, enabling educators to deliver structured, practical lessons without the need for additional planning or resource creation.
A fully functional platform delivered within a tight timeframe - The website was designed, developed and launched within three weeks, overcoming previous delays and enabling the programme to go live as planned.
Ecommerce and payment functionality - Schools can purchase course materials online, with secure card payments and integrated invoicing to support different procurement processes.
Streamlined financial management - Integration with QuickBooks allows payments and invoices to be managed efficiently, reducing manual administration.
Clear access to educational resources - Educators can easily find, purchase and use programme materials, supporting delivery within the classroom.
Following the successful launch of Phase 1, we continue to support Real Food Rebellion as the platform evolves. Work is now underway on Phase 2, which will expand the website beyond its initial school-focused offering into a more comprehensive digital hub.
This next phase includes the introduction of additional resources for parents and younger audiences, improved search functionality and a more detailed “For Schools” area to support onboarding. New features will also support wider engagement with the initiative, including dedicated areas for campaign activity, video content and donations.
“When we decided to redo our website, we called quite a number of web designers and were provided with numerous addresses of sites created by each designer. We found that ALT Agency had the most sites that we thought were innovative, creative and professional. After speaking a few times with ALT Agency we decided to go with them. It’s the best decision we’ve made in quite some time.
Joe Sapak“There are two important considerations when looking for a designer, work quality and reliability. Alt Agency offer both in spades.
Ben Stephenson“Craig is 100% on it and I mean on it, I can’t recommend him and ALT Agency highly enough.
Al Gosling“I found Craig & ALT Agency through the UKBF forums and I can honestly say its been a pleasure to work with Craig & his team. The end result is exactly what I wanted and more. The site is for my landscaping company with the aim of drumming up more business around our local area as well as somewhere to showcase our previous work to potential clients.
