Website rebuild with structured product architecture and custom product finder to improve discovery across a large industrial catalogue.
Oadby Plastics is one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers and machinists of industrial plastics.
Founded in 1969, the company supplies engineering and fabrication plastics to businesses across sectors including manufacturing, construction, food production and engineering. Their range includes plastic sheets, rods and tubes as well as precision CNC-machined components.
With multiple UK locations and large warehousing and machining facilities, Oadby Plastics supports customers nationwide with both material supply and technical expertise.
As the business continued to grow, the website needed to better reflect the scale of the company and make it easier for customers to explore the product range.
A website that reflects the scale of the business - The new design presents Oadby Plastics as the established industrial supplier they are, with a professional online presence that aligns with a £60m-turnover company.
Clearer product architecture - Products, services and industries are now structured logically, making the catalogue easier for customers to explore.
Faster product discovery through filters and product finder - Laser-focused filters and a custom product finder tool help visitors quickly identify suitable materials based on their requirements.
Improved user journeys - Navigation has been simplified so customers can move from industry information to relevant materials and services without unnecessary steps.
Improved search visibility - Following the rebuild the website saw improvements in SEO rankings despite no ongoing SEO retainer being in place.
Following the success of the rebuild, the client commissioned two further standalone websites.
These projects build on the structure and technical approach developed during the initial website rebuild.
“When we decided to redo our website, we called quite a number of web designers and were provided with numerous addresses of sites created by each designer. We found that ALT Agency had the most sites that we thought were innovative, creative and professional. After speaking a few times with ALT Agency we decided to go with them. It’s the best decision we’ve made in quite some time.
Joe Sapak“There are two important considerations when looking for a designer, work quality and reliability. Alt Agency offer both in spades.
Ben Stephenson“Craig is 100% on it and I mean on it, I can’t recommend him and ALT Agency highly enough.
Al Gosling“I found Craig & ALT Agency through the UKBF forums and I can honestly say its been a pleasure to work with Craig & his team. The end result is exactly what I wanted and more. The site is for my landscaping company with the aim of drumming up more business around our local area as well as somewhere to showcase our previous work to potential clients.
