Who Are Sharky + George?

Sharky + George is a creative events company that designs and delivers high quality parties and experiences for children, private clients and corporate teams.

Founded in 2007, the business is known for imaginative events that combine storytelling, games and carefully planned production. Their work embraces the idea of "taking play seriously", creating experiences that are playful, immersive and professionally delivered. Their work ranges from children’s birthday adventures and holiday clubs to bespoke private celebrations and corporate team experiences.

As the brand evolved, the website needed to better reflect the quality of the work and make it easier for visitors to understand the different types of experiences available.

About the Project

Sharky + George approached us to deliver a full website rebuild alongside a wider rebrand. The project included a refreshed visual identity and a new design direction designed to position the brand more clearly at the premium end of the market. The redesign also aimed to better position the business for premium private and corporate events while still showcasing their expertise in children's experiences.

The previous website had grown organically over time. Content had become harder to navigate and the structure did not clearly guide visitors towards the different types of experiences the company offers.

The project began with a discovery workshop where we reviewed the new brand guidelines, explored key user journeys and mapped the structure of the new website. We rebuilt the site on WordPress to give the internal team a CMS they could manage easily without relying on developers for everyday updates.

All existing content was migrated to the new website while the structure was rebuilt to support both usability and search performance. URLs were cleaned up, redirects were mapped and page templates were improved to create clearer page hierarchies.

Navigation and user journeys were redesigned so visitors can move quickly between children’s events, adult experiences and corporate work. Service pages were redesigned to present experiences more clearly and guide visitors towards enquiries through stronger calls to action and simplified contact pathways. Filters were also introduced to help users find relevant sections and experiences more quickly.

Website enquiry forms were integrated with the client’s CRM so new leads can be captured and managed efficiently.

A clearer structure for different audiences - The website now separates children’s parties, adult experiences and corporate events more clearly. Visitors can quickly understand the different services and navigate directly to the type of experience they are looking for.

Improved user journeys - Navigation was simplified and key sections of the site are easier to reach. Filters and clearer pathways help visitors explore relevant experiences without navigating through unrelated content.

Stronger SEO foundations - The rebuild included a cleaned URL structure, mapped redirects and improved page templates. This protects existing search visibility and creates a more stable technical foundation for future SEO work.

A CMS the internal team can manage - The WordPress build allows the Sharky & George team to update pages, add new experiences and manage the website without developer support. We also delivered training so the internal team could confidently manage the website and make updates independently.

Integrated enquiry capture - Website forms connect directly with the client’s CRM, allowing enquiries to be captured, tracked and followed up more efficiently.

Post Launch

Following launch we continue to support Sharky + George with SEO, website maintenance and ongoing WordPress development.

This work includes technical SEO improvements, schema implementation and internal linking optimisation to strengthen the site’s search foundations. We also support content growth through blog writing, location pages and a pillar and cluster content structure designed to expand search visibility across relevant topics.

Tracking has been improved through GA4 event setup so key enquiries and interactions can be measured more accurately. Regular reporting and ongoing development ensure the website continues to evolve alongside the business.
