Staging First
We clone your website into a staging environment before applying core, theme or plugin updates, with backups taken prior to major change cycles. Each update is applied individually and tested properly. Only once everything is confirmed stable do we push changes live.
Manual QA
After updates, we manually review key templates, forms and conversion paths. We also assess page speed, database load and image performance to ensure nothing has degraded. We are not just checking that plugins are updated, we are checking that your website still performs.
Ongoing Security
We reduce obvious weak points, monitor for known vulnerabilities and run regular malware scans. If something looks wrong, we deal with it early rather than waiting for it to become a bigger problem. Do you only support WordPress websites?
WordPress and WooCommerce are our core specialisms. The majority of our website maintenance packages focus on managing WordPress core updates, themes and plugins properly and in the right order.
We also support Shopify , custom PHP frameworks such as Laravel and other CMS platforms where ongoing management is needed. If you are unsure whether we can support your site, speak to us and we will give you a straight answer.
Can you maintain a website you did not build or host?
We manage and support many websites that were built by other agencies or internal teams.
We simply require appropriate access to your hosting environment and CMS. If hosting changes are required, we will advise clearly before any work begins.
What happens if something breaks during an update?
All updates are first applied in a staging environment and manually reviewed before going live. This significantly reduces the likelihood of live issues.
If a problem is identified, it is resolved in staging before deployment. In the unlikely event an issue reaches the live environment, it is treated as a priority and addressed immediately.
How quickly do you respond to urgent issues?
Retainer clients receive priority response during business hours. Critical issues such as downtime or security breaches are typically acknowledged within 1 to 2 business hours.
Non critical requests are acknowledged within 1 business day and scheduled within your allocated hours. Clear response expectations are defined at the outset of the retainer.
What is not included in a website maintenance package?
Our website maintenance packages cover structured updates, security oversight, performance monitoring and development work within your allocated hours.
Large scale redesigns, full website rebuilds or dedicated SEO campaigns sit outside of maintenance and would be scoped separately. If something falls outside scope, we will make that clear before proceeding.
