Who are HIP Magazine?

HIP Magazine is a magazine produced by SNG Publishing to Gas & Plumbing lecturers, apprentices and students across the UK. We were approached by SNG Publishing to create 3 websites for each of their magazines: HIP, Concept Hair and Sparks Magazine.

The task for the HIP Magazine was to create a new, super user friendly, modern and easy to navigate website that would compliment the HIP Magazine that gets distributed.

For ease of use we chose WordPress as the platform to build the website on. This would allow the SNG team to simply update their new website, change images, add new pages and set sale & delivery costs for their magazines.

The design of the website follows a magazine style and pitches content, articles and images in a very clean grid style that has a very social media feel to it. On key area of focus for the website was for the positioning of advertising space – We managed to fit in space for multiple banners that sit naturally within the sites content and allow SNG to sell advertising space on their website.

The website now allows SNG to add learning recourses related to their magazine, advertise events and of course sell their magazine online through their new website.
